Ralph Wood Toby Jug

Ralph_Wood_PotteryThis is a nice example of a Ralph Wood (senior) Toby jug, circa 1780.

He holds a raised glass in one hand and an empty baluster jug in the other.  Very unusual to find with a beauty spot on his face.

Has had some restoration & is priced to reflect this.

Majolica Falstaff

Falstaff This is a very crisply modelled Majolica toby jug, believed to have been produced by Edward Steel of Hanley, Stoke on Trent.

Made in the form of Falstaff the Shakespearean character, this is one of the only toby jugs you will find that has a beard!  This particular jug is not marked, but some do have a lozenge mark to the base for 1883.

Lovely condition.

New jug will be shown here shortly

  Yorkshire Toby Jug   Yorkshire

This is an attractive Yorkshire Toby Jug, with blue scalloped edging to his hat.

He is holding an empty sparrowbeak jug in one hand and a six-sided cup in the other.
