Snufftaker
Although the Snufftaker is one of the more common toby jugs. This is a more attractive version with an unusual spotted jacket and waistcoat. Dates from around 1830.

Early 19th C Pearlware Toby Jug
He is clutching a large balluster jug between both hands a pipe at his side & a large looped handle. Dating from the early 1800's, he has all the characteristics of a quality jug.

Toby Jug with
Pipe Shape Handle What could be considered to be an average 19th Century Toby Jug, is made much more unusual by its intriguing handle which appears to be in the shape of a pipe! All over nice colouring with waistcoat decorated in flowers & circles & very flushed cheeks.

Late 18th Century Prattware Toby
He is just over 9" tall and is nicely detailed with feathery eyebrows. He has a lovely all-over blueing to the glaze.

Early
19th Century Davenport Toby
This is a good example of a Davenport Toby Jug, with sponged base & handle. Has an early Davenport mark impressed to the underside of the base.

Gardener Kevin Francis Ceramics produced an excellent range of Toby Jugs during the 1980's/90's, The Gardener being just one of them. The Gin Woman
